Learn the basics of Hand Lettering with Jillian Goeler and create your own hand lettered art piece!
The goal of the workshop is to give you an outline of the basics to creating cool hand lettered type and Instagram worthy compositions – we’re sure you have your own aesthetics (you’ve probably got tons of inspo pinned to your “TYPOGRAPHY” Pinterest board, right?), so we’ll give you the basics and you’ll run wild!
HAND LETTERING VS. CALLIGRAPHY VS. BRUSH LETTERING
Hand lettering is the art of drawing letters – you don’t even have to have good penmanship to be a hand letterer! You can get get the look of brush lettering and calligraphy, but when you are HAND LETTERING, you are drawing each letterform, rather than using a pointed pen/brush pen.
Each ticket includes a hand lettering workbook and a few pens. This event is BYOB so grab a friend and a bottle and meet us on Pratt Street. You’ll also receive a 15% off discount on all purchases at Hartford Prints! We will be sitting outside with 6ft + between tables (which seat 1 or 2, depending on your group). Masks are required.
Spots are limited so don’t wait to snag your seat.
(Please note that sales and coupons do not apply for workshops.)
